| | American Claims Management Is Now The TPA For The California Restaurant Mutual Benefit Corporation By Lonce LaMon - April 6, 2011As of April 1st, 2011, American Claims Management (ACM), a Third Party Administrator based in San Diego, California, began handling the workers' compensation claims for the California Restaurant Mutual Benefit Corporation (CRMBC), the largest self-insured group in California. CRMBC presently has 3,905 restaurants and golf country clubs with over 1.7 billion dollars in covered payroll, and is the only such self-insured program available to restaurants in California.
Deirdre Millwood is the senior vice president of claims of ACM. She maintains her office in ACM's San Diego location.
American Claims Management is a wholely owned subsidiary of Arrowhead General Agency, Inc. On December 1st, 2010, ACM began handling the workers' compensation claims for Zurich American on all policies written through Arrowhead General Agency. Then starting on March 1st, 2011, Arrowhead secured the Sparta Insurance business for ACM to handle all workers' compensation claims for the property-casualty underwriting company headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut on policies written through Arrowhead. Now, starting on April 1st, American Claims Management will be handling the workers' compensation claims for California Restaurant Mutual Benefit Corporation, a coalition of self-insureds.
The growth of American Claims Management's book of workers' compensation claims business is clearly obvious from the aquisition of these three accounts----Zurich, Sparta, and CRMBC in such a short time frame--from December 1st 2010 to the present. Deirdre Millwood, senior VP of claims of ACM, did not respond to a call from www.adjustercom.com asking for comment on ACM's recent burst of growth.
