The ICW initials originated as standing for Insurance Company of the West, but now its name of ICW Group and ICW Group of Insurance Companies fits well name-wise into the U.S. eastern area of New York.
ICW Group now has workers’ compensation insurance coverage in New York. This new market has evolved with ICW’s growth.
ICW Group stated the entry into New York furthers its commitment to offering comprehensive coverage and preventative risk management services to businesses nationwide.
Agents and brokers can now submit New York business to the firm, effective July 1st 2024 or later.
Chief Underwriting Officer, Paul Zamora, stated the company is building on their financial strength and stability they’ve built over the past 50 years. Zamora is newly appointed and said, “We’re thrilled to begin partnering with agents and brokers servicing businesses in New York."
Zamora further expressed ICW brings an established work comp product with top-tier value-added services to the region and is looking forward to creating the best possible insurance experience in New York.
Zamora joined ICW Group nearly 20 years ago and has since played a critical role in the growth of the firm’s workers’ compensation line of business, culminating in reaching a milestone of over $1 billion in premium in 2023.
